Joint research results with the National Cancer Center Japan were presented at ECR 2026 (European Congress of Radiology), held in Vienna, Austria, in March 2026. The electronic poster is available on EPOS™. M. Mukai is the first author, and Takaaki Mizuno, CEO of CLINIAL CO., LTD., participated as a co-author.
The study compares data elements in HL7 mCODE, a standard data model for cancer-care information, and SPECTA, a European platform related to cancer genomics, to examine information that can be represented in common and information requiring additional work.
It showed that while some data elements are common to both, differences exist in areas including specimen information and operational information. These findings support consideration of both standardization and application in each setting when healthcare data are used across different systems.
