CLINIAL Inc. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Takaaki Mizuno) has launched joint research with the National Cancer Center Japan (Chuo-ku, Tokyo; hereafter “the National Cancer Center”) on the use of cancer genomic medicine and cancer-care data.
In this joint research, we aim to create new mechanisms that contribute to improving the quality of cancer care — through building a data foundation that handles cancer genomic test results and clinical information in an integrated manner, and validating use cases for data utilization in clinical settings. We also plan to examine the applicability of standards such as HL7 FHIR and mCODE, as well as information structures designed with inter-institutional collaboration in mind.
Starting from our collaboration with the National Cancer Center, CLINIAL will work together with cancer-specialty institutions to advance data-driven medicine and to develop products that support the utilization of data in research and clinical settings.
